Travis Scott face echipă cu Dior pentru o colecție specială

Dior Men și directorul său artistic Kim Jones și-au anunțat ultimul colaborator: muzicianul, producătorul și designerul Travis Scott.

Colecția lor comună de primăvară-vară 2022 a fost lansată pe 25 iunie, la unul dintre puținele spectacole de pistă în fața bărbaților din Săptămâna modei din Paris. Franța a ridicat majoritatea restricțiilor legate de Covid-19 recent, pe 9 iunie; multe etichete de modă au ales să nu se pregătească pentru spectacole live, în cazul în care restricțiile se vor fi prelungit.

Parteneriatul Dior-Travis Scott marchează o premieră pentru Jones ale cărui colaborări din trecut includ artiști vizuali precum KAWS, Kenny Scharf, Raymond Pettibon, Hajime Sorayama și Daniel Arsham. Pentru toamna-iarna 2020, Jones s-a îndepărtat de modelul artistului, conectându-se cu Shawn Stussy, legendarul brand de surf.

Dior denumește parteneriatul un „eveniment fără precedent [care reprezintă] prima colecție completă Dior creată vreodată cu un muzician”. Artistul nominalizat la premiile Grammy s-a transformat într-o forță imaginativă cu mai multe cratime, în ultimii ani, devenind el însuși deloc străin de colaborări. Travis Scott a lansat produse cu Nike, Ksubi, BAPE și chiar McDonald's. Multe dintre acestea au trecut prin Cactus Jack, compania lui Scott.
