Michael Kors redefinește luxul urban

Dacă vreun designer a dorit să abordeze momentul COVID-19 cu sensibilitate și stil, acela este Michael Kors. Intersecția funcției, lejerității și luxului, care a câștigat un nou statut, pe măsură ce statul acasă casă a devenit un laitmotiv, este reprezentată fidel în noile haine Michael Kors. Mai degrabă, acea fuziune a format nucleul muncii lui Kors de aproape 40 de ani. Desigur, pandemia a sporit intensitatea provocării pentru el și pentru toată lumea: de ce ar trebui femeile să cumpere haine de lux pe care să le poarte acasă? Creatorul de modă a spus că momentul solicită „haine și accesorii care, în primu rând, te fac să te simți bine. Este vorba de încredere. Este vorba despre lucruri care se simt minunat pe pielea ta.”

Kors a dezvăluit noua colecție într-un „pachet digital” care prezintă un documentar de șapte minute despre dragostea sa față de New York, realizat de tânărul regizor Haley Elizabeth Anderson și un spectacol de modă organizat într-o grădină comunitară a New York Restoration Project, organizație fondată de prietena sa Bette Midler, care apare în documentar. Această grădină se află în Bronx, la trei străzi de stadionul Yankee și la cinci străzi de locul unde a crescut bunicul său.

Designerul a ales decorul grădinii pentru a reflecta descoperirea „naturii și renașterii printr-o lentilă urbană” din timpul lockdown-ului. Mergea în plimbări, iar străzile goale îi atrăgeau atenția de la asfalt și arhitectură, la elemente ale naturii - lalelele într-o fereastră, luxuriantul Central Park. A vrut să exprime rezonanța acelei descoperiri în spectacolul său. Cu toate acestea, acesta nu este un festival floral, de fapt, dimpotrivă. Predomină albul, maroul, bejul.

Acesta promovează un aspect personalizat, cu ținute lejere, largi, supradimensionate.
