Corsica e o insulă a frumuseții, pe care trebuie neapărat s-o vizitezi. Cu peisajele sale uimitoare pe litoral și munții înzăpeziți, Corsica e o destinație de top a Europei.
Corsica, a patra insulă ca mărime din Mediterană (după Sicilia, Sardinia și Cipru) este așezată la aproximativ 170 km de sudul Franței și la 90 Km de nordvestul Italiei. Este una din cele 18 regiuni ale Franței, și a fost desemnată colectivitate teritorială, având astfel un grad mai mare de autonomie decât celelalte regiuni franceze. Corsica este o insulă muntoasă, fiind străbătută pe lungime, de la nord la sud, de un lanț muntos cu 20 de vârfuri cu inâlțimi de peste 200 2000 metri, din care cel mai inalt este Monte Cinto, de 2.706 metri.

După ce ai trecut în revistă câteva date tehnice pentru Corsica, iată 5 motive pentur care s-o vizitezi!
1. Corsica are peisaje absolut spectaculoase. E un loc fantastic de poveste, unde munții contrastează cu nisipul fin și apele turcoaz. Un adevărat paradis!
2. E locul perfect pentru drumeții. Muntele și locurile pitorești fac din Corsica un loc perfect pentru drumeții.Vei găsi peisaje sălbatice , aproape neprelucrate de om, totul este autentic.
3. Bucatăria corsicană. Se pune foarte mult accent pe produsele tradiționale , bucătăria este preponderent mediteraneană, bazată pe fructe de mare și pește.
4. Bonifacio. Într-o locație pitorească pe o stâncă de calcar, înconjurată de zidurile sale vechi, Bonifacio este bine conservat oraș fortificat care datează din secolul al IX-lea, când a fost fondată de Bonifazio, marchizul Toscanei. Aproape de oraș sunt numeroase plaje frumoase. Bonifacio se află la numai 11 kilometri distanță de Sardinia, care este la 30 de minute de mers cu feribotul de la port. Bonifacio se află, de asemenea, în apropierea celei mai mari rezervații naturale din Corsica: Bouches de Bonifacio.
5. Minicroazieră pe Mediterană. Treci pe lângă forme de relief de o frumusețe de rară. Vezi casele milionarilor din întreaga lume, unde nu poți ajunge decât cu vaporul sau cu avionul personal.
Ce vedem în Corsica?
Ajaccio
Frumusețea naturală a Ajaccio încântă vizitatorii. Orașul are o locație maiestuoasă pe litoral, cu vârfuri de munte înzăpezite în depărtare și plaje nisipoase din apropiere. Ajaccio este cel mai mare oraș și capitala Corsicii, dar încă se bucură de un mod relaxat de viață. Cea mai renumită atracție turistică a orașului este Maison Bonaparte pe Rue Saint-Charles, casa unde sa născut Napoleon la 15 august 1769. Casa este acum un muzeu care prezintă mobilier de epocă, arme, portrete și documente de familie.

Plaje lângă Porto Vecchio
Unele dintre cele mai populare plaje din Corsica se află în jurul portului Porto Vecchio, orașul portului pe un golf minunat. Orașul a fost înființat de genovezi și are încă rămășițe ale zidurilor de protecție și o cetate din secolul al XVIII-lea. Majoritatea turiștilor vin la Porto Vecchio pentru a se bucura de o evadare în natură la una dintre frumoasele plaje nisipoase din apropiere. Cea mai faimoasă plajă este Plage de Palombaggia, renumit pentru țărmul său larg de nisip și ape calde, limpezi. O altă plajă excelentă este Plage de Santa Giulia cu nisip alb fin și ape albastre turcoaz. Ambele plaje se află în lagune, ceea ce oferă un mediu protejat, care este ideal pentru înot.

Traseul de drumeții GR20
Extrem de iubitorii de aventură în aer liber și de excursioniștii avansați dețin această potecă în valoare. Traseul GR20 de la Corsica traversează insula Corsica de la nord la sud, acoperind un peisaj inspirat de dealuri accidentate și chei sălbatice. Traseul este considerat a fi cea mai dificilă excursie pe distanțe lungi în Europa. Nu numai că traseul este extrem de lung, terenul este robust, îndepărtat și dramatic. Cei care sunt suficient de condiționați pentru a încerca excursia vor fi în cele din urmă răsplătiți cu un peisaj natural uluitor și cu priveliști panoramice excepționale.
Cum ajung în Corsica?
În Corsica se poate ajunge în două moduri: pe apă, cu ferryboat-ul sau cu avionul. Sunt aeroporturi în Ajaccio, Bastia, Calvi și Figari unde ajung permanent avioane ale liniei franceze Air France sau Air Corsica iar în sezon și anumite linii de low cost.
Cu ferry se poate pleca din Italia (Piombino, Livorno sau Genova) sau din Franța (Nice, Toulon, Marsilia) și se poate ajunge in unul dintre porturile insulei, cum ar fi: Bastia, Ajaccio, L'Ille-Rouse, Calvi, Porto Vecchio sau Bonifacio.

Unde putem să ne cazăm in Corsica?
În Corsica nu există hoteluri „all inclusive”. Există hoteluri de diferite categorii, există sate de vacanță, pensiuni și apartamente de închiriat. Pe insulă sunt foarte multe campinguri, de la două la patru stele, unele doar pentru rulote sau pentru cei care dorm în corturi, iar altele care au și bungalow-uri pentru 2,4 sau mai multe persoane.
Unde putem să mâncăm in Corsica?
Sunt foarte multe restaurante. Mici localuri de familie, taverne, unde poți mânca ceva tradițional și să bei un vin local sau o bere corsicană. Prețurile diferă in funcție de ce și cât consumi.

în Corsica, vremea este bună peste tot în Aprilie, Mai, Iunie, Iulie, August, Septembrie și Octombrie. În medie, cele mai calde luni din Ajaccio sunt lunile Iulie și August, iar cele mai reci luni sunt lunile Ianuarie, Februarie și Martie. Cele mai ploioase luni în acest oraș sunt lunile Ianuarie, Februarie și Noiembrie
